The National Military Technology Carnival Tour (Foshan Station) and the 2024 Aerospace Exhibition (referred to as the "Foshan Military Aerospace Exhibition") will spectacularly open from September 14 to October 7 at the Tanzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center.
Following successful exhibitions in Xiamen, Tianjin, Chongqing, and Mianyang, what highlights can we expect at this Foshan Station event?
Highlight One:
Larger Exhibition Area, Longer Duration
This exhibition covers a total area of over 20,000 square meters, featuring four exhibition areas including "Outdoor Exhibition Area, North Landing Hall, Military Equipment, and Sky Dreams," with the latter two areas divided into six thematic display units. Each unit will create different "exhibit+education+entertainment" scenes, integrating exhibits, projects, and interactive experiences into the setting.
This year's exhibition will span 24 days from the Mid-Autumn Festival to National Day, offering a "deep dive" into national defense education. Special themed activities will be held during holidays such as the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day, providing audiences with aerospace science content.
Highlight Two:
More High-tech Equipments
This year, there will be more "High-tech Equipments" on display. A large number of cutting-edge exhibits such as the PLZ05 self-propelled howitzer, WZ-10 attack helicopter, Liaoning aircraft carrier and carrier-based aircraft (1:20 scale), Hainan amphibious assault ship formation (1:72 scale), J-20 fighter, Dongfeng missile carrier, Long March 2F rocket (1:4 scale), Chinese space station (1:10 scale), Yutu rover, and Zhurong rover will debut at this exhibition.
To enhance visibility, the tour will also feature several exquisite topics including the Chinese Launch Vehicle series, "Two Bombs and One Satellite" project achievements, the Liaoning aircraft carrier battle group, and integrated air and space strike systems.
Some aerospace and spaceflight real artifacts will make their first appearance in Foshan, such as rocket debris, the Shenzhou spacecraft return capsule, and return-type satellites. These items will now be accessible to the public during this exhibition, which is highly anticipated.
Highlight Three:
Expert Lectures on Site, Packed with Theme Activities
During the exhibition, the organizers will regularly invite military experts to conduct military popular science lectures, answering questions and explaining the achievements in the construction of the People's Liberation Army. Military expert Cao Weidong, who participated in the Chongqing Station event in 2023, stated that the Military Technology Carnival is a good start to strengthen comprehensive national defense education. He hopes to actively summarize experiences in the future and explore ways to broaden military popular science in a lively, diverse, and effective manner, elevating national defense education to a new level.
Highlight Four:
Educational and Entertaining, Comprehensive Upgrade of Military Interactive Games
This exhibition offers more than 30 military interactive experiences such as simulation shooting of the Type 95 assault rifle, and Type 92 pistol, flight simulation driving experience, VR aircraft carrier, and Shenzhou spacecraft return capsule simulated landing. The intersection of equipment display and gaming experience truly achieves "learning while observing, experiencing."
Highlight Five:
Technology + Leisure, Exceptional Value Theme Activities
The combination of military exhibitions with technological leisure allows visitors to experience cutting-edge technology and learn scientific knowledge while enjoying entertainment. It is reported that the organizers will continue to host various cultural-themed activities to provide a unique experience for visitors. Meanwhile, cultural and creative sales areas and coffee experience zones will be set up at the exhibition. Come and check out the "Mars Coffee"!
