On August 24, the fourth men's five-person dragon boat practice race in Jili Village, Chancheng, Foshan, took place on the Jili River. A total of 22 teams competed in the race, using the competition as practice to prepare for the upcoming Nanzhuang Town Five-Person Dragon Boat Race.

In this practice race, the dragon boats would race between two set points, with the upper one in front of the Guanlong Tower waterway, and the lower one at the Vanke side of Jili River. The participating dragon boats maneuvered between the upper and lower courses, circling around the markers a total of six times (six times around the upper points and six times around the lower points). After finishing the sixth time around the lower point, they sprinted towards the finish line, entering the "Dragon Gate." The total race distance was approximately 21 kilometers.
Despite the hot weather, all the teams persevered until the end. After intense competition, the Xinwu No. 1 team took first place, with Denggang No. 1 team and Zhufu team finishing second and third, respectively.
Unlike the previous practice races, which took place in the inner waterways, this practice race was held at the actual venue for the town's five-person dragon boat race and was conducted following the official race procedures. This allowed the participants to use the competition as practice, familiarizing themselves with the entire process of starting, turning, and sprinting, thereby improving their skills and overall team performance.
