A city of blooming kapoks

In March, the early spring is still chilly in Foshan, but kapoks are already blooming silently everywhere. Trees of red flowers are described beautifully in poems. “Blooming trees cover half of the sky/ a color as red and bright as paint/ they told me/ this is kapok.” A poet Liu Kezhuang in the Song Dynasty wrote. When talking about kapoks, only the most magnificent rosy clouds can compare with them.
