On March 21st, Yu Jin, Deputy Mayor of Foshan met with the delegation. She welcomed their visit and briefly introduced the social and economic development of Foshan. The two parties exchanged opinions about further deepening friendly relationship and pushing educational communication among teenagers. Zhang Bing, head of Foreign Affairs and Overseas Chinese Affairs Bureau of Foshan City attended the meeting.

During the visit, the delegation visited Foshan Experimental School and Shimen Experimental School, and had discussion with leaders and representatives of teachers and students of these two schools about educational communication cooperation.

Middle school students from Itami experienced feature courses such as robot-making and ultralight clay, visited the family of a local student, and had a Sino-Japan student talent get-together with Foshan students.

Most of the delegation had come to China for the first time. They said that Foshan had Lingnan culture with a long history and world-renowned cuisine. Besides, the delegation also attended the workshop on Japanese tea ceremony held by Foreign Affairs and Overseas Chinese Affairs Bureau of Foshan City and Consulate-General of Japan in Guangzhou in Foshan-Itami Communication Center.

Foshan-Itami Communication Center was jointly built by Itami and Foshan government, which is a symbol of the friendship between the two cities. Besides participating in activities, the delegation knew more about the communication history and the deep friendship of the two cities through picture exhibition.

According to the memorandum of cooperation signed by Foshan and Itami each year, teacher and student delegations will be sent to visit the other city every year. This is the 21st delegation sent by Itami to visit Foshan. In May this year, the 19th teacher and student delegation sent by Foshan will pay a return visit to Itami, Japan.
