With the theme of “相 Transition”, the competition will involve architectural students of 10 high-profile universities in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. It encourages university students to create functional and aesthetic projects using environmental-friendly materials such as recyclable wood, bamboo, PPT hollow panels, foamed ceramic panels. The top 10 projects will be built in public areas around the Jiulong Lake of the CSGKC.

The competition is jointly organized by CapitaLand (China), a real estate group headquartered in Singapore, the development and construction office of CSGKC, Chinese Communist Youth League Huangpu Community and SCI Group, aiming to promote the concept of sustainable development in line with the plan for green building of CSGKC released recently on July 29.

The organizer will also set up a CapitaLand Young Architect Innovation& Development Center through which they will hold a series of exhibitions, communication and research activities and provide a platform to tie young architects in the Greater Bay Area together with common themes.

The CapitaLand Young Architect Program was launched in Singapore in 2017 and entered China in 2019. The program encourages young people to pay more attention to society, urban development and sustainable development projects.
