Secondary and primary schools

April 27th: senior secondary school students

May 11th and after: other secondary school students; primary school students (Schools will have their students return in different waves based on local epidemic control status.)

The opening date of kindergartens and special schools is still under discussion and the public will be notified in advance.

The department stressed training agencies must not resume off-line classes before kindergartens resume.

Universities, colleges and vocational schools

May 11th and after: senior students of universities and colleges (based on both local status and the schools’ medical supplies)

May 18th and after: other students of universities and colleges; students of vocational schools (Schools will have their students return in different waves based on their student characteristics, local status and medical supplies.)

Back to school plan for teachers

Schools which meet the requirement to resume studies can bring their teachers back to school one week in advance of the opening date so that they can prepare for the new semester and set up measures for epidemic prevention.

The provincial department indicated that schools should strengthen their management and equip themselves with sufficient medical workers and supplies to prevent further outbreaks.
