HK youth hail the GBA Internship Program in Foshan

On July 15, the 2023 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area - Hong Kong Youth Internship Program, which lasted for over a month, held its closing ceremony at the Foshan Hong Kong-Macao Youth Entrepreneurship Incubation Base. Over 100 Hong Kong youth expressed their love for the city through songs and performances.



During this month, they sweated on the dragon boat, shed tears while performing on the streets, and drooled over the sweet corn fields,etc. Every little moment from the past one month has been condensed into a 7-minute short film, forging an unforgettable "Foshan Memory" in their minds.



"It is not just the city's scenery that I love, but also its people," said Yang Ziling with great enthusiasm during the closing ceremony. She expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the warm hospitality she received and promised to return to Foshan in the near future.



Over the past month, over 100 Hong Kong students have come to Foshan to experience the Chinese mainland's workplace environment and immersed themselves in Lingnan culture, seeking opportunities to integrate into the development of the Greater Bay Area. Additionally, they visited cultural sites, participated in activities like martial arts and dragon boat racing, and engaged in student exchanges.



"Surprisingly, Foshan is not just renowned for its martial arts culture, but also boasts a flourishing manufacturing industry and impressive economic strength." "We climbed up Xiqiao Mountain and witnessed breathtaking scenery that we couldn't find in Hong Kong." During the closing ceremony, the students took turns sharing their experiences in Foshan.



A representative from the Foshan Hong Kong and Macau Youth Entrepreneurship Incubation Base introduced the policies and services available for Hong Kong youth to start their businesses in Foshan. They warmly welcomed the students to consider starting their entrepreneurial journey in Foshan after graduation.
