Cultural Traditions Enliven Foshan's 2024 School Opening Ceremonies

On February 20, as the new semester commenced, numerous schools in Foshan embraced the theme of inheriting traditional Chinese culture for their opening day. With vibrant opening ceremonies and innovative activity arrangements, the first day of school transformed into an extraordinary traditional cultural education event.

At the lively entrance of Luoge Elementary School early in the morning, all students and teachers were dressed in festive attire, exchanging hearty New Year blessings. As soon as the children entered the school gates, they received "red packets" brimming with New Year wishes. Adding to the excitement, a lively lion dance performance unfolded, captivating everyone present at the opening ceremony.


Meanwhile, at Sanlongwan Elementary School, the newly formed Dragon and Lion Dance Team presented an enthusiastic performance. The "Twin Dragons," divided into male and female teams, danced exuberantly to the beat of drums and gongs.

As the world-renowned city of martial arts, Foshan naturally showcased Kungfu performances on the first day of school. Foshan Yuanjia School, recognized as a Foshan Municipal Campus Martial Arts Specialty School, highlighted martial arts demonstrations during the opening ceremony, showcasing synchronized, harmonious, and agile movements.

The first day of new semester at Longjiang Experimental School also came with a lively array of folk activities. The entire campus was immersed in a vibrant Chinese New Year atmosphere.


Meanwhile, at Foshan No. 25 Elementary School, a century-old institution, a poetic and romantic "Modern Chinese Style" Spring Festival Temple Fair unfolded on the first day of new semester! Over the years, the school has consistently pursued the integration of traditional culture into campus life.
