　　8月18日下午，佛山市南海区人民政府与建川博物馆正式签约，携手共建建川新中国百年博物馆。项目计划落户佛山西站枢纽新城城市中轴线上。

　　On the afternoon of August 18th, Nanhai District (Foshan) government officially signed with Jianchuan Museum to jointly build the Jianchuan Centennial Museum of China. The museum is located in the central axis of Foshan West Railway Station Hub New City.

　　首先是展厅面积大。按照计划，博物馆项目所在的综合体，建筑面积约40万平方米，其中博物馆约9万平方米，由建川博物馆提供约100万件/套藏品，规模可比肩国家博物馆。

　　Firstly, large exhibition area. The museum complex is designed to cover an area of 400,000 m2, including the 90,000-m2 museum. It has about 1 million pieces/sets of collections, comparable to the scale of the National Museum of China.

　　博物馆的题材充实度、事件的丰富性也是非常罕见的。其发展具有“生长性”，计划首期开放运营不少于70个馆，随后每年开设一个新馆，到2049年达到“百年百馆”的规模。

　　Exhibition themes and series are rich and diverse. More than 70 galleries are open to the public in the first phase of the museum’s development. Later, it will expand by adding a new gallery each year till 2049 when there are an estimated total of 100 galleries.

　　在布展方面，建川博物馆馆长樊建川已经有了许多构思。“我希望展品展示每个年度发生的大事、有着民间记忆的小事、当时的流行语、一首代表年代的歌曲……通过这样的场景再现，展示新中国发展百年的历程。”通过文物和影像资料，融入AR、VR、全息影像等技术及文旅IP、沉浸式剧场、消费场景等前沿展现形式，将打造成全景式了解新中国发展成就的重要窗口。

　　In terms of museum exhibit design, Fan Jianchuan, curator of Jianchuan Museum told us, “I hope that these exhibits can remind us of the major events taking place each year, trivial things of folk life, buzzwords of the year, songs reminiscent of a particular time, etc. By re-presenting these scenes, we hope visitors can witness the 100-year development of China.” The museum will become an important window for the public to understand the development and achievement of China since 1949 through cultural relics and video materials as well as AR, VR, holographic images and other technologies, along with cutting-edge presentation forms such as culture and tourism IP, immersive theaters, and consumption scenes.

　　区别于传统博物馆，建川新中国百年博物馆创新发展“博物馆+”模式，融合文旅、商业、酒店等多种业态，发展“博物馆+商业+研学+体验”的全新博物馆综合体模式，打造建筑面积约40万平方米的文博商业综合体。

　　Unlike traditional museums, Jianchuan Centennial Museum of China innovates the “museum +” management model, integrating cultural tourism with commerce, hospitality and other industries, developing a new museum complex model of “museum + commerce + research and study + experience” to build a commercial complex of culture and museum with a construction area of about 400,000 m2.

　　未来，该综合体将成为可供游客停留1~2天的全新微度假目的地。同时，通过打造爱国主义主题博物馆，加快“博物馆之城”建设，有助于推进粤港澳大湾区爱国主义教育基地建设和民营博物馆事业发展。

　　The complex will become an ideal 1-2-day tour destination for people who want a short break. Meanwhile, the construction of the patriotism-themed museum galleries and the building of the “city of museums” greatly promote the construction of the patriotic education base and the development of private museums in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
