3月8日，“天下玉·平洲牛”平洲玉器·雕刻大师作品展（以下简称“玉雕展”）在桂城美术馆举行开展仪式。展览以“天下玉·平洲牛”为展题，契合“牛年”主题，50多件大师级玉雕作品，玉与牛能碰撞出独特火花，共同展现平洲玉匠精湛的雕刻技艺及平洲历史根脉和秀美灵气。

　　On March 8, the opening ceremony of “Jade in the World, Ox in Pingzhou” (“天下玉·平洲”) Carving Master Works Exhibition (hereinafter referred as the Carving Exhibition Show) was held at Guicheng Art Museum in Nanhai District. Themed on the Year of Ox, the show incorporated over 50 masterpieces – showcasing both mastery of local artists and rich cultural deposit in Pingzhou.

　　50多件大师级玉雕作品造就艺术盛宴

　　Over 50 jade carvings to deliver artistic experience

　　本次玉雕展共展出50多件作品，它们均出自名师巨匠之手，其中不乏国家级玉雕大师。展品雕琢技艺精湛，玉雕流光溢彩、灵气飘动、生动传神。

　　Among more than 50 pieces unveiled in the show, some came from prestigious local artists, and some national carving masters. Carved in great craftsmanship, these works look bright in color and lifelike in characters and roles.

　　参展作品题材甚是广泛，既有佛教经典题材的观音系列，也有神话人物题材，中国古典诗词、小说的经典人物和意境题材，还有反映祖国大好河山的题材。

　　The exhibition covers a wide array of subject matters, ranging from classic Buddhist figure of Guanyin, mythological characters, iconic roles and poetic imagery depicted in classic Chinese literature to splendid scenery of China.

　　行业最高奖金奖作品《江山如画》面纱揭晓

　　The top award-winning piece: “Picturesque Landscape of China” (《江山如画》)

　　最令人叹为观止的展品要数这件获得行业最高奖——2020年“天工奖”金奖的作品——《江山如画》。“天工奖”是中国现代玉雕和石雕作品最具影响力的专业奖项，是玉石界奥斯卡般的存在。该作品出自中国玉石雕刻大师王国清、佛山市工艺美术大师林新兴、兄弟翡翠创始人徐梅先之手。开幕式上，它的真面目现场揭开，震撼在座众人。

　　The biggest focus at the show was landed on “Picturesque Landscape of China”, awarded a gold medal in Tiangong Award 2020，which is the most influential award for China’s jade carving and stone carving and enjoys a nickname as the “Jade Carving Oscar”. This cutting-edge jade carving was made by three masters - Chinese jade carving master Wang Guoqing, Foshan arts and crafts master Lin Xinxing, and the founder of Brother Jade Xu Meixian. When unveiled to the audience, the work has caused a big sensation.

　　一砖一瓦、一树一木、亭台楼阁，作品参考了宋画里面的部分元素，栩栩如生，各个细节处处再现祖国的大好江山，体现平洲玉匠精湛的雕刻技法。该作品取材翡翠，价值上千万。

　　Take a close look. You can see details on every brick, tile, tree, wood, temple, and pavilion in the work. Inspired by some elements from paintings of the Song Dynasty, the work recaptures the fascinating landscape of the beloved motherland and shows off exquisite carving techniques. The work is made of jade, which is worth 10 million yuan.

　　据介绍，该作品花费团队足足三年时间，可见雕琢的难度之大。

　　According to the artists, due to high complexity, it took them three whole years to complete.

　　发掘平洲玉器新方向 加速文创产业升级

　　Creative orientation for Pingzhou jade industry upgrading

　　从上世纪70年代至今，平洲玉匠坚持把技艺传承和创新作为产业发展的价值主张，经过40年始终如一的坚守，工匠精神在平洲这片土地上闪耀时代之光，“平洲工”更是在行业里独领风骚，名扬海外，使得平洲被冠以“中国手镯之乡”的美称。2019年，平洲传统玉器制作技艺入选佛山市第七批市级非物质文化遗产项目名录，该技艺如今已传承六代人。

　　Since the 1970s, Pingzhou jade craving artists has always focused on passing on traditional craving skills and developing artistic innovation. Committed to this goal for more than 40 years, Pingzhou has become a glorious land of craftsmanship that received international recognition as the “Home to Chinese Bracelets. In 2019, traditional jade craving in Pingzhou, which now passed down to the 6th generation, was listed on the seventh batch of Foshan intangible cultural heritage.

　　在坚持“以展促产”的办展理念和“国际化、专业化、产业化、特色化”的工作思路下，此次平洲玉器·雕刻大师作品展不仅是传递艺术的观念，更多是通过作品，发掘平洲玉器在文创产业上的新方向。

　　Based on a concept of “promoting production through exhibition” and the industrial trend of “globalization, professionalism, localism and industrialization”, the show not only delivered the art concept of the artists themselves, but also opened up new direction for the cultural and creative industry of Pingzhou jade.
