狮王争霸，谁与争锋？5月1日至2日，2021“黄飞鸿杯”第十三届全国南北狮王争霸赛暨水上双狮挑战赛将于西樵山天湖公园举行。

　　Who can be the king of lion dance? From May 1st to May 2nd, the 13th "Wong Feihong Cup" National Lion Dance Competition and Above-water Lion Dance Challenge in 2021 will be held in Tianhu Park, Xiqiao Mountain.

　　本届赛事比赛项目共设置了六项，除了高桩南狮、水上双狮、北狮比赛项目之外，还新增设了竞速舞龙、障碍舞龙和传统南狮比赛项目。

　　There are six events this year. Apart from the Southern Lion Dance on high stakes, Above-water Lion Dance, and Northern Lion Dance, 3 new ones are added, i.e., Dragon Dance Speed Racing, Dragon Dance Steeplechase Racing and Traditional Southern Lion Dance.

　　竞速舞龙、障碍舞龙赛首次亮相

　　Dragon dance speed racing & steeplechase racing debuted!

　　高桩南狮比赛，无论是飞身上桩，还是桩上跳跃腾挪，都融入了南派武术的高难度动作，把狮子威武多疑的神态演绎得栩栩如生，其新颖巧妙的采青套路更令人叹为观止。

　　Performers who join Southern Lion Dance on High Stakes use incredibly difficult stunts, which is originated from Southern martial arts. They fly or jump on the stakes to bring alive the suspicious while mighty “lion”. Moreover, at the end of the performance, dance lion will “catch the greens” in seek of good luck, wowing the audience.

　　北狮比赛融舞蹈、声乐于一体，在鼓乐声中，跌扑、翻滚、跳跃、搔痒、滚绣球、过跳板、上楼台，极具观赏性和逗趣性。

　　Northern Lion Dance focuses more on integrating dance and music. The “lions” fall, tumble, jump, scratch, roll balls, cross the springboard and go upstairs, bringing much entertainment and pleasure to audience.

　　竞速舞龙是指运动队运以最快速度，在规定场地内完成规定的舞龙竞赛内容与动作数量。

　　Dragon Dance Speed Racing requires dragon dance teams to complete certain poses and movements as quickly as they can.  

　　障碍舞龙比赛是指参赛队用舞龙动作中的游、翻、腾、穿等形式，绕过、穿过或越过场内所设障碍物。

　　As for Dragon Dance Steeplechase Racing, contestants will be asked to bypass all the obstacles set up in the venue through movements including swimming, crossing, and passing.

　　传统南狮比赛项目采用2011版国际舞龙舞狮竞赛规则、裁判法，比赛时间为7-10分钟。传统南狮项目比赛必须设有大头佛，需要以醒狮与大头佛两者之间的互动、默契、独特风格、神情神态，以及一套完整的动作来完成（参赛主题）故事演绎。

　　Traditional Southern Lion dance competition adopts rules and standards from international dragon and lion dance competition as formulated in 2011, for example, each performance should last for 7-10 minutes. Additionally, a big-head Buddha figure must be included in a traditional Southern Lion dances. Each team should play out their story with not only a set of choreographies, but also strong interaction, in-sync performance, unique artistic style and expressions.

　　水上双狮赛超刺激

　　Exciting lion dance game over water!

　　作为备受瞩目的比赛项目，水上双狮赛是西樵山独创的南狮运动项目，也是狮艺届比赛难度最大、桩阵机关最多、最为惊险刺激的体育竞赛。水上桩阵共有82支，为双桩阵。（保留）比赛时，两支狮队各从一边上桩，在规定时间内完成高难度动作后，双狮跳上擂台对打，将对手打落水中方为胜。

　　Above-water lion dance is a high-profile sport originated in Xiqiao Mountain, the most difficult and exciting item among other events. There are 82 stakes set in water and the whole set is arranged in a double-stake layout. At the beginning of competition, two lion teams will stand on stakes from different sides. After performing their stunts and acrobatics in prescribed amount of time, two lions will jump into the challenge arena to fight and beat the opponent into water.
