11月7日—11月10日，第27届中国金鸡百花电影节在佛山举行。

From November 7 to 10, the 27th China Golden Rooster Hundred Flowers Film Festival was held in Foshan.

20年后再聚首，恰逢佛山建设文化导向型城市、大力打造南方影视中心之际，佛山在电影节期间，举行颁奖典礼、影展、以及学术论坛等五大类30项主要活动， 向全国乃至世界展现岭南名城的神韵风采。

After 20 years, by the time of Foshan building a culture-oriented city and making great efforts to build the Southern Film and Television Center, Foshan held 30 major events in five categories including the awarding ceremony, photo exhibition, academic forums and etc., presenting the graceful charm of Lingnan area to the whole country and even the world.

10月12日，佛山大剧院开业首映，意大利经典歌剧《图兰朵》精彩上演。这座高起点、高层次的文化综合体的启用，标志着佛山高雅艺术进入一个全新的发展阶段。

11月29日晚，在佛山大剧院开演的百老汇音乐剧《芝加哥》，则是佛山历史上首个原版百老汇作品的演出。
