Strawberry sweet and sour pork, wild mushroom fish soup, lobster fried milk...From May 16 to 29, 17 Cantonese cuisine made by Shunde chefs “drifts across the sea" and appears at the second Chinese Food Festival in France, showing the unique charm of Shunde cuisine to the French. 

 

本届美食节以“粤菜”为主题，邀请由中国烹饪大师、顺德名厨连庚明带队的6名顺德大厨组成的广东粤菜大厨团队，联合当地政府、法国知名餐厅、餐饮集团，在当地通过美食品鉴、业界交流、互动教学、媒体访谈等多种形式，开展为期2周的“粤菜”美食主题推介活动，展示“美味广东”风采，在法国制造“粤菜”美食热潮。

With the theme of "Cantonese cuisine", this festival invites a team of Guangdong Cantonese chefs made up by six Shunde chefs led by Chinese culinary master Lian Gengming, unites with the local government, famous French restaurants and catering groups and carries out a two-week “Cantonese cuisine” gourmet promotion activity in the forms of local food tasting, industry exchanges, interactive teaching, media interviews and etc., showing the demeanor of “Guangdong gourmet" and creating a trend of Cantonese food in France.

来到浪漫的法国，我们的传统顺德菜是不是也要走一下法式浪漫风格呢？

When in France, do our traditional Shunde dishes also have to switch to French romantic style?

 

他们结合顺德美食的特征，配合当地法国食材，以传统技艺和创新理念，设计出17道极具浓郁顺德风味的品鉴菜式。

The chefs combine the characteristics of Shunde cuisine, coordinate with local French ingredients, and design 17 dishes in Shunde style with traditional skills and innovative ideas. 

 

同时，大师们将在现场制作顺德龙虾炒牛奶，展示顺德美食独特的烹调手法，给法国宾客视觉、味觉全方位体验，全面展现顺德美食文化精髓。

At the same time, the culinary masters will make Shunde lobster fried milk at the scene, displaying the unique cooking method of Shundes food, giving the French guests an all-round experience in vision and taste, and fully displaying the essence of Shundes food culture.  

 

为了准备此次法国中国美食节，名厨团队提前一个月开始研究菜谱，并针对当地食材特点，改良传统的顺德菜式。例如，龙虾炒牛奶将会用当地品质最好的全脂奶代替水牛奶，希望可以让法国人民品尝到顶级的粤菜。 

To prepare for the Chinese Food Festival in France, the chef team began to study the recipe a month in advance and to improve the traditional Shunde food style according to local food features. For example, the lobster fired milk will replace the water-milk with the local high-quality full-fat milk, so that the French people can taste the top-class Cantonese food.

此外，本次活动除了传统的美食展示和品鉴，还有特别的交流环节。顺德的名厨团将与巴黎的一家餐饮集团针对广式早茶进行深入交流，并计划借此机会研发新的点心样式。

In addition to the traditional food display and tasting, there is also a special communication activity. Shundes chef team will carry out an in-depth communication with a catering group in Paris in terms of morning tea, and they plans to take this opportunity to develop a new snack style.

美食是体现佛山人‘文化自信’很好的平台和媒介。顺德能作为广东省代表承办这次美食节活动，是很一件很荣幸的事情。这次活动将给顺德菜的创新带来新火花、新思维，最终让顺德美食走向世界、名扬海外。
