New place for leisure every Saturday night this year in Guangzhou
"The Red Sun", "Boundless Oceans, Vast Skies", "Like You" ... On June 25, the first show of a new "display window theater" was staged at Beijing Road, Yuexiu District of Guangzhou, with some classic songs from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). This year, the theater will host shows every Saturday night at 8 pm and some special performances at festivals.

Located on the second floor of the north gate of the Guangzhou Youth Palace, the theater is transformed from the enclosed glass facing the street, inspired by the shop window culture in the GBA. Residents can enjoy various professional and public welfare performances and activities including dance, songs, Cantonese opera, Chinese traditional music, and orchestral music by youths from the GBA.
It is one of the activities of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Week 2022. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Hong Kongs return to the motherland, from June 25 to July 1, there are seven consecutive shows in the theater, which are jointly presented by renowned Cantonese Opera artists Wu Feifan, vocalist Zhi Nan and other professional artists.

In addition to the display window theater, there is also a cultural and creative bazaar based on GBAs culture in the Guangzhou Youth Palace until July 15. Visitors can enjoy the local and retro cultural and creative products and try popular games of the last century.
