As the Year of the Rabbit approaches, a festive mood is gradually seen in Lecong, Shunde. Intangible cultural heritage, New Year gourmet, Huichun (Chinese Calligraphy) with sweet blessings...diverse activities fully present the bustling atmosphere in the fairs.
On January 7, Lecong Town in Shunde set up the Spring Festival Fair at Lecong Cultural Integration Innovation Center. Focusing on three themes of intangible cultural heritage experience, festival food, and Huichun, the fair has more than ten experience projects including embroidery painting lion, colored lantern, paper-cut, fried Jiandui, etc., giving out a strong flavor of the New Year.
Lecong Town has built the brand of “Spring Festival Fair” on the theme of intangible cultural heritage and New Year flavour for 5 years. With more inclusive content and stronger cultural flavor, nowadays, intangible cultural heritage experience, New Year food and Huichun have become the three major features of the New Year.
Mr.Chen, a local resident in Lecong, Shunde, brought his two children to the activity to feel the atmosphere of the Chinese New Year. “We all like this activity, I hope there will be more such activities in the future, so that we can hang up with friends and neighbors".
