Today (August 15) marks China's first National Ecology Day, symbolizing an important step forward in China's ecological civilization construction.
National Ecology Day is set up to better promote ecological civilization construction, raise the awareness of ecological civilization throughout society, and enhance the conscious and active participation of the whole nation in environmental protection.
In recent years, guided by the important concept that "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets," Foshan has made solid progress in ecological civilization construction and achieved significant accomplishments, including the protection of biodiversity.
Birds are friends of humans, an important component of the ecosystem, and a key indicator species for measuring the ecological environment. With exceptional ecological environment, numerous wetlands and high forest coverage, Foshan has made itself an ideal habitat for birds. Nestled within the urban forests of Foshan, a myriad of bird species finds their habitat, integrating into the city and its surrounding ecological environment. Birds like egrets, sunbirds, white-eye birds and golden orioles have found solace in this urban oasis, where they flourish and breed.
Let's appreciate beautiful birds in Foshan.
