Five districts in Foshan saw better air quality in July

On August 17, Foshan Bureau of Ecological Environment has revealed monthly air quality report for the past month, which shows an overall improvement in all 5 districts. In July, 80% of the days have reported fine weather. Shunde, among all districts, has shown the biggest improvement.

 

 

In July 2022, the average concentrations of sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), inhalable particulate matter (PM10), and fine particulate matter (PM2.5) in Foshan were measured at 5, 18, 27, and 15, respectively. The 95th percentile of the daily average concentration of carbon monoxide (CO) was rated at 0.6 mg/m3, and the 90th percentile of the maximum daily 8-hour moving average (O3-8h) concentration of ozone at 167 μg/m3 cubic meter.

 

According to the air quality index (AQI) evaluation, the number of good days in the city accounted for 83.9% of the effective days in the whole month.
