"Foshan No.1 Bridge" to have its deck structure completed by September

On June 12, the M14 section of Gaoming Fulong Xijiang Bridge carried out the lifting operation of composite beams. At present, the construction of the bridge has entered the final stage, and two sides of the bridge will be successfully connected by the end of September.



The construction project of the bridge includes 27 sections. According to the current construction progress, the side span of the bridge deck will be completed by the end of June, and the middle span main arch will be completed in September.


This bridge has a total length of 5.81km, with one main bridge and two interchange hubs. Its main bridge is a 580-meter cable-stayed bridge with a total length of 1770.6 meters, which will become the longest cross-district bridge in Foshan after its completion.



Officially started in October 2019, this bridge goes across the Xijiang River, connect the west extension of Jihua Road in the east, passes through Hecheng Sub-District in Gaoming and Baini Town in Sanshui along the line, and connects to the North section of the West Extension of the First Ring Road through the Jinbai Line.


As an important node of the South Section of the West Extension of the First Ring Road, Fulong Xijiang Bridge will effectively improve the traffic on both sides of the Xijiang River.


After its completion, the distance between Gaoming Fuwan and Chancheng Jihua Road West Extension will be shortened to 17 kilometers, which can realize the rapid commuting between Gaoming and Foshan's central urban area, accelerate the integration of western Foshan into the core area of the GBA.
