Almost 200 enterprises, mainly Japan-funded enterprises, have registered as participators for Nanhai 2021 Intelligent Manufacturing and Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Industry Promotion Meeting & Sino-Japanese Enterprise Matchmaking Meeting (hereinafter referred to as the Meeting), scheduled from September 14 to 15 at Nanhai International Exhibition and Convention Center (NIECC).

The Meeting serves as a platform for manufacturers from China and Japan to procure, sell and establish business cooperation. All the companies cover a wide range of industries, from metal products, automobile and ship products, steel, general machinery, electrical machinery, electronic parts, precision machinery to environmental protection and energy conservation.

Market in Nanhai has emerged as a huge attraction to Japanese investors. Through the Meeting, therefore, more promising enterprises are expected to land in Nanhai. Besides, conferences on various themes, like vehicle, environmental protection and intelligent manufacturing will be held to promote the exchange of technology.

Back in 1980s, a group of Japanese-funded enterprise, like Honda and Toray started to invest and landed in Nanhai.Now, Japanese-funded enterprises are playing indispensable roles in Nanhai. So far, Nanhai has attracted 120 Japanese-funded companies, 19 of which are among Fortune Global 500, with the total investment of 3 billion dollars. In 2015, there were 15 Japanese-funded enterprises as major taxpayers in Nanhai with the tax amount of 1.05 billion yuan, and in 2020, 17, with 1.34 billion yuan.
