Over this past weekend, the Tanzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center, located in the Sanlongwan Sci-tech City, became the hottest spot in Foshan. The two-day Good Luck Music Festival brought together artists such as Beyond, Paul Wong, Aska Yang, etc. Over 20,000 spectators gathered to enjoy a music extravaganza.

It's worth noting that this was also the first time the Tanzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center, known for industrial exhibitions, hosted a large-scale music festival. Prior to this, the first Foshan New Furong National Trend Animation Festival was held here from September 23 to 24.

From anime conventions to music festivals, the numerous cross-domain endeavors at the Tanzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center are sending a message to the outside world: there are various possibilities in the operation of exhibition venues.

The data indicates that since its opening, the Tanzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center has hosted nearly 400 exhibitions and conference events, with an exhibition space exceeding 4.1 million square meters. It has welcomed over 4.8 million professional attendees and established a series of highly influential brand exhibitions and events. Thanks to the impetus provided by the Tanzhou Convention and Exhibition Center, Foshan's exhibition industry has risen to second place among prefecture-level cities for two consecutive years, ranking among the top tier of China's urban exhibition industry.

Tanzhou Exhibition has hosted several significant events, such as the Foshan Ceramics Expo, which is the top in Asia and second globally. It's also home to the largest China (Foshan) International Smart Robotics Expo in South China, creating a hub for "Internet+ Advanced Manufacturing" innovations.

Apart from being the hall for industrial expos, what are the reasons behind the Center's desire and ability to host large-scale art festivals?

This year, the national performing arts market has experienced explosive growth. In the first half of 2023, there were 193,300 commercial performances (excluding entertainment venue performances) nationwide, a year-on-year increase of 400.86%. The box office revenue reached 16.793 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 673.49%. The number of audience members reached 62.2366 million, a year-on-year increase of over 10 times.  

Indeed, music festivals with tens of thousands of participants not only generate ticket revenue but also boost the popularity and consumer activity in the city.

The Tanzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center is the only major professional exhibition venue in Foshan, offering extensive facilities and venues suitable for hosting events of various scales, from small training sessions to large-scale celebrations and summits.

The center will continue to focus on its branding as the "Premier Venue for Industrial Exhibitions in China" and will also promote artistic festivals, music events, and other cultural activities to meet the community's growing demand for cultural events.
