On November 2, the opening ceremony of the 2024 China-Europe Culture Week was grandly held in Foshan Sanlongwan Sci-Tech City.
The China-Europe Market, lawn concerts, and singing competition...From November 2 to 10, five major themed activities will be presented, offering a rich cultural experience that connects China and Europe for talents from both sides.
Since its inception in 2020, the China-Europe Culture Week has been successfully held for four consecutive years, consistently taking culture as a medium to deepen exchanges and cooperation between Foshan and various fields in Europe, while continuously sharing the stories of Foshan, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and China with the world.
European charm intertwines with Lingnan culture here, while technological innovation resonates with humanities and arts. Foshan Sanlongwan Sci-Tech City delivers a clear message through its meticulously crafted events: no matter where you come from, you can feel the pulse of East-West cultural integration in Sanlongwan, experience the city's sincerity in serving talents and enterprises, and sense the hope for inviting quality European projects to invest in Foshan.
Civilizational Mutual Learning: The Event Showcases the Charms of East and West
This year's China-Europe Culture Week continues to innovate on the basis of previous editions, further building bridges for cultural exchange and mutual learning among civilizations.
From November 2 to 3, a lifestyle festival themed "Wind" made its amusing debut. Additionally, a themed carnival parade made its debut, providing a good place for young people to relax on the weekend.
Moreover, during the China-Europe Culture Week, Sanlongwan Sci-Tech City will collaborate with cultural venues to host a city-wide talent carnival, providing a dedicated space for both tech experts and artistic youths to connect and share ideas.
"We look forward to showcasing a more prosperous, open, and vibrant Foshan to the world through the China-Europe Culture Week, attracting more international talents and enterprises to build dreams together and create a shared future," said Zhang Bing, Vice Chairman of the Foshan Municipal Political Consultative Conference. The China-Europe Culture Week is not only about cultural exchange but also a collision of arts and commerce, welcoming people from Europe and around the world to invest and thrive in Foshan, experiencing the cultural charm and vibrancy of this city.
Martin Klose, Executive Director of the China-Germany Chamber of Commerce in South and Southwest China, remarked that this year's China-Europe Culture Week has once again brought a wealth of colorful activities, including a grand opening ceremony, a lively China-Europe market, a diverse carnival parade, and various interactive events, providing an immersive cultural exchange experience for foreign friends and local citizens in the Greater Bay Area.
Gathering Talents to Provide Strong Support for Technological Innovation Hub
As a major strategic platform vigorously developed by the Foshan Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, and an important window for Foshan's cooperation with Germany and Europe, Sanlongwan Sci-Tech City uses culture as a medium and the city as a stage to attract more high-end talents, technologies, projects, and resources.
The planning and hosting of this year's China-Europe Culture Week is not only an important initiative for Sanlongwan Sci-Tech City to showcase its high-end innovative and creative resources and attract talent, but also provides a relaxed and enjoyable international platform for high-level talent who work and live here.
In the future, Sanlongwan Sci-Tech City will continue to optimize urban functions in key areas, creating a high-quality living, working, and recreational environment that allows both domestic and foreign talent to share in the fruits of development.
Linking Resources to Build a Bridgehead for Foshan's Cooperation with Europe
