On November 19, the Sanlongwan Shunde District Construction Bureau participated in the "Livelihood Zero Distance" program on Shunde District's Government Hotline. Deputy Director Li Shangchun introduced that the Sanlongwan Shunde Area is focused on industrial development, project implementation, investment promotion, and providing services to enterprises. Currently, 17 German and European companies have settled in the area, with 12 key projects under negotiation. This year, five projects have already been signed and landed.
Building Three Key Platforms to Drive Growth
The Sanlongwan Shunde Area is focused on a "1+2+5" industrial system, aiming to create a globally competitive modern industrial cluster. The area's "Foshan Beijiao Robot Valley" has completed its "One Core, Two Engines" development pattern, with increasing momentum in the robotics industry. Leading companies such as Canton Biologics, Wandom Biopharma, and Loobi (Guangdong) Health Biotechnology have set up headquarters in the region, enhancing the pharmaceutical manufacturing and medical device sectors.
In developing the Foshan New City, the district is working to build a financial hub for advanced manufacturing, attracting top financial institutions including Denton Foshan branch, BDO China Shu Lun Pan CPAs, and Bank of China Securities. The area also hosts 17 German and European companies across biotech, consulting, foreign trade, and IT fields, forming a solid foundation for German-invested enterprises.

"We are focusing on attracting modern services industries from cities like Guangzhou and Shanghai, and utilizing the Sino-German Industrial Service Zone to promote investment from Germany and Europe," Li explained. In 2024, the area has visited over 100 companies in sectors like biotech, IT, cross-border e-commerce, and financial services, and has secured high-end service industry partnerships. Currently, 12 key projects are under discussion.
Looking ahead, the area will continue targeting the Guangzhou and Yangtze River Delta regions, working with local governments and business associations to explore high-growth enterprises and their upstream/downstream partners. Efforts will focus on new service industries such as no-code technology, tech-based human resources, and mechanical manufacturing, aligning with local industries to drive digital transformation and new manufacturing capabilities.
In November 2024, the first Foshan European Enterprise Day and Sino-European Enterprise Symposium were held at the Shalongwan Sci-Tech City.
Li Shangchun emphasized that the area plans to build three key platforms: talent, resources, and services. This includes leveraging technology transfer platforms like the Jinan University Industrial Park and South China University of Technology to efficiently convert research into innovation. The area also aims to establish a modern financial service system and explore integrated services that support businesses through the entire process, from site selection to business expansion.
Area Development Accelerates, Enhancing Vitality and Quality
In terms of infrastructure, November saw the successful completion of a road project in the Foshan New City, improving traffic conditions for local residents and supporting the opening of a nearby school. The district is also working on resolving historical issues related to road construction in the CBD area, aiming to improve safety and enhance urban vibrancy.
The region's cultural and sports facilities are flourishing, with events like the China-Europe Cultural Week bringing in 69 European enterprises and attracting nearly 70,000 participants, boosting the area's international presence and business environment.
