On the morning of October 20, the Construction and Operation Event of Foshan Major Projects in the Second Half of 2020 was held at the site of New Energy Automotive Base Project (the First Phase) of FAW Jiefang in South China in Gaoming District.

In the first half of 2020, Foshan has intensively started the construction of 177 major projects, with a total investment of 157.061 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 39.004 billion yuan. From January to September, 153 projects have started the construction with a construction rate of 86.44%; the completed investment was 28.826 billion yuan, accounting for 73.91% of the annual planned investment.

73 major projects were organized to put into operation. From January to September, 66 projects have been put into operation, with an operation rate of 90.41% and a completed investment of 34.485 billion yuan, accounting for 85.58% of the total investment.

In the second half of 2020, 233 major projects have started the construction and were put into operation in Foshan, with a total investment of 272.716 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 38.135 billion yuan. These new projects cover new infrastructure, new materials, biotechnology, equipment manufacturing and other fields, with large-scale investment, good development prospects and high industrial relevance, which will be the exemplary and leading projects for Foshan economic and social development in the future.

In terms of project construction, 162 major projects are planned to start the construction in the second half of this year, with a total investment of 225.04 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 28.599 billion yuan. Among them, 51 projects are in Shunde District, with a total investment of 82.413 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 9.38 billion yuan.

In terms of project operation, 71 major projects were planned to put into operation in the second half of this year, with a total investment of 47.676 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 9.536 billion yuan.
