On December 28, the Annual Conference of the Development of Guangdong Manufacturing Industry and Guangdong Top 500 Manufacturing Enterprises Summit were held in Guangzhou. The research report of Top 500 Guangdong Manufacturing Enterprises in 2022 (hereinafter referred to as “the Report”) was released at the meeting. According to the report, a total of 90 enterprises from Foshan were listed as the Top 500 Manufacturing Enterprises in Guangdong Province in 2022.

The Report shows that the business revenue of the top 500 manufacturing enterprises in Guangdong Province reached 5.53 trillion yuan in 2022, an increase of 5.6% over 2021. 12 enterprises produced more than 100 billion yuan revenue. In terms of regional distribution, Foshan has the most listed enterprises of 90, followed by Zhuhai of 79, Guangzhou of 75, Dongguan of 72 and Shenzhen of 71. The above five cities together have 387 listed enterprises, accounting for 77.4% of the top 500 manufacturing enterprises in Guangdong Province.

Compared to last year, 11 more Foshan enterprises are listed as Guangdong Top 500 Manufacturing Enterprises this year, exceeding the number of listed enterprises of Dongguan and Shenzhen.

As an important manufacturing city in Guangdong Province, Foshan produced a total manufacturing output of 2.68 trillion yuan last year, ranking fifth among cities in China and second among prefecture-level cities. In Foshan, there are 31 major manufacturing categories. In addition, Foshan has 2-trillion-level industry clusters and 8 100-billion-level industry clusters.
